January 2019-August 2019

The months just fly by quicker and quicker! What a fun 2019 it's been so far! Most of our time truly is consumed by our girls and their schedules right now. They are active and busy and we are so proud of them! Mike continues to coach Emma and Molly in lacrosse, and this summer - Kate finished up 7th overall in the state for Gymnastics - and is taking some time off. She played lacrosse too this summer with her friends and enjoyed every second of it - so now, she's playing this fall too! So three schedules, every weekend - we are all over the place!
Kate and Molly enjoyed swim team again this summer - and both tried new events, including an IM for both girls. They also swam in the county meet in the Georgia Tech Natatorium. WOW! What a fun thing to watch! We traveled for lacrosse tournaments this summer, we also enjoyed Sunset Beach with the Barratt Fam, Hilton Head with the Duche Fam - and Mike and I even got a little getaway to Greenville - which was a much needed getaway! We also enjoyed "yurting" for the first time with our best friends! We will do it again too!

So now school is back in session - Molly in 2nd, Kate in 6th, and Emma in 8th! The girls are already working so hard. They are keeping up with their studies and playing lacrosse too! They also make a lot of time for their small groups at church and their buddies!

Mike is still with ATT in the Drive Studio, and I'm teaching 4 days at the preschool and love it! Still tutoring a little too, but my biggest job is ubering my kiddos around -

Life sure is busy in the Barratt house! We can't wait for more adventures -
Come visit us anytime - our door is always open!

July - December 2018

I just checked and the last time I wrote was in June! The second half of the year flew by! We finished our summer with Mike's brother Sean getting married to the awesome and beautiful Kassidy,  camping, and Hilton Head vacations which we loved! The girls are in 1st (Molly), 5th (Kate), and 7th (Emma). They have enjoyed the first half of the year. They've also kept busy with lacrosse and gymnastics. Mike still enjoys coaching lacrosse for Molly and Emma, and Kate puts in 8.5 hours a week in the gym preparing for her meets which have just gotten started! I am teaching 4 day preschool and absolutely love it! Mike and I took a trip of a lifetime for our 15 year annivesray in August. We traveled with our best friends to Scotland - We visited Edinburgh and Inverness for 8 days and enjoyed every bit of our tour of this amazing place! We can't wait to go back! Holidays were spent with our favorites, as we traveled to Sunset Beach for Thanksgiving and spent the week with The Barratt side of the family, and then Christmas was spent in Atlanta with both sets of grandparents and our best friends here in the neighborhood! It was actually one of the most relaxing holidays we've had in a while - which is just what we all needed! We watched a lot of college football too this fall - which always makes that time go fast! So 2019 is here, and we are in full swing again with sports, school, and all things that the GIRLS do and love!
Our door is always open to anyone who wants to venture down south! No snow for us this year....but we have had some cold temps! Bring on Spring!
We hope you all are well!
Lots of love to all of our family and friends,

Amy, Mike, and the Girls....Sully (age 5) too!

2018 - January - June

I got on to look to see when the last time I posted was, and was shocked to realize it was the first week of January! Time really has flown by and we have been busier than ever!

2018 has been good to us! The girls stayed very busy with their sports this winter and spring.
Emma continued her love of lacrosse and had a wonderful season playing full field middie - and made some of the BEST friends doing it. She has learned so much, and so has her daddy who has loved coaching the sixth grade girls - the continued right into this summer - traveling to Woodstock, GA and Asheville, NC for two wonderful summer tournaments. WE have only been off for one week and they both miss it and can't wait for fall lax!

Kate worked very hard this year in gymnastics to perfect her round off back handspring! She competed in four meets this winter/spring - and did very well at all meets! Floor is her favorite where she scored her Highest floor score yet, and she challenged herself on the bars too and was so happy to get a 9.0 one meet! She continues to train a little this summer and her new goal is her double back handspring back tuck.

Molly's love for everything is so fun to watch...and is a bit exhausting too! She too has a love for lacrosse and her daddy is out there coaching her team as well! She has become quite the little artist too and is loving reading on her own!

All three girls are finishing up their second year of swim team! They continue to break their personal best times, and love the new challenges they work on each week. Emma loves back stroke, Molly loves free style, and Kate loves the Butterfly!

Mike still keeps a very busy work schedule but manages to fit in coaching two lacrosse teams and added director of the girls lax program to his resume. He also still enjoys his Old Man's Lax Games (yes, that is their team name) - and completed his first half marathon this spring! Super proud of him!

I continue tutoring, and teaching preschool. Decided
to go back up to the fours next school year - as I missed that age! I continue to be a taxi for the girls social lives and really actually love it! I keep busy with them, a little tennis, and spending time with wonderful friends in the neighborhood, that has been our new home for almost 2 years now!

Looking forward to our annual Hilton Head vacation in a few weeks - and Mike and I are off to Scotland in August to celebrate our 15 year anniversary! We can't wait!

Always know you have a home to visit if anyone is down south! We love company!
Happy Summer to everyone!
xoxo

Fall and The Holidays 2017

It's hard to believe that FALL and THE HOLIDAYS have come and gone. It's 2018 and it's cold....and time has just gone so fast! We have had a great and busy few months! The girls enjoyed the first half of their school year - Emma rocking Middle School, Kate earning awards in 4th grade, and Molly adjusting and loving Kindergarten. They also enjoyed staying busy with their sports. Emma and Molly both played lacrosse this fall, with Coach Mike leading them. Kate continued to train six hours a week in gymnastics, mastering her round off back handspring for the 2018 meet season.
We enjoyed some really beautiful weather, a lot of football, a weekend trip to the mountains, and continue to work on house projects!

The holidays were a crazy time of year as always, but one we always love and look forward to! We enjoyed visits from family - enjoyed traveling to see family, and as always love Christmas and love watching the magic of Christmas through the kids eyes! We even had SNOW and a good amount of it the second week of December!

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year!!!

Much Love,
Mike, Amy, and the Girls

Spring and Summer 2017

How does time fly so quickly that it's been 4 months since I've written updates! We had a wonderful Spring followed by a very fun but very quick summer!
This spring the kids continued their sports - Emma enjoyed more Lacrosse with Daddy as her coach - Molly tried Lacrosse too and loved it! Kate continued to compete in gymnastics and had a wonderful State Meet with Beam and Floor being her best routines! They finished up fabulous school years as well! This summer flew by! The girls tried SWIM TEAM with our new neighborhood. At first, it was a bit overwhelming and tiring but they soon found out at the first swim meet that hard work pays off! They loved it! Molly started on the "learn to swim" team and ended up swimming on the 6 and unders team! Kate ended up rocking Backstroke and Emma - Butterfly! On top of that, the girls both played a little Summer Lax doing tournaments this summer. One was local and was a great learning experience, playing against older girls .... and the other we traveled to Asheville NC where the girls WON their division! So fun! Mike has really enjoyed coaching them and will continue this fall. He also continues to enjoy playing in his "old man lax" league as well!
The kids also enjoyed another wonderful week at camp Gramma and Grampa - going to the beach, to the pool, and even on a Pirates Voyage Cruise! We also had a wonderful week in Mexico (instead of Hilton Head) this year - they loved the clear water, swimming with dolphins, taking pictures with all sorts of other creatures...and of coarse the swim up bars and buffets!
So now we are getting ready to start school tomorrow - Summers always go by way too fast -
Emma will be in sixth grade, Kate is in 4th, and Molly starts Kindergarten!
We hope you all are well and please know we love visitors some come visit!
Hope you have had a wonderful 2017 so far!
It's almost time for Football!!!!
Love,
Mike, Amy, and the girls

Winter 2017 (Jan, Feb, March)

What a busy winter we had! We didn't encounter much snow - which we were all kind of bummed about .... The weather has been pretty warm here which meant we spent a lot of time outside!
The girls have been very busy with sports - Kate started her team meets this January, and has enjoyed it very much! Mike is coaching Emma's lacrosse team once again, and they are doing really well - Molly has often sat on the sidelines, but this winter has had the chance to try some lacrosse clinics herself! She is not SHY at all - and gets right in there!

We also had the opportunity to take the girls back to Indy to visit friends and go see a Butler Basketball game - what a memory that was for all of us! We only wish we could get back more often!

It's hard to believe that we only have 6 more weeks of the school year - the kids and I have enjoyed a nice STAYCATION this spring break - with trips to the zoo, the science museum, and lazy nights at home!

Mike has been really busy with work - traveling to Texas, LA, and Barcelona - and I have been busy teaching 2 days a week, tutoring, and running car pools! I was able to get away to the mountains with my small group which was quiet and kid free for a few days! I came back refreshed and relaxed!

Our doors are always open here down south - the new house would LOVE visitors!!!

Much love to you all and Happy Spring!

Amy, Mike, the girls...and Sully

Finishing out 2016 - Oct, Nov, Dec

The time just continues to fly by around here! We had a wonderful last few months of 2016!
Emma continued lacrosse with Daddy as her coach. She became quicker, more aggressive, and had some amazing goals! She is so fun to watch! Kate and Molly continued gymnastics. Kate is gearing up to start her first round of meets ever - and we couldn't be more excited to watch her compete!
I turned 40 in November *sigh* but enjoyed every second of celebrating with Mike and some of my dearest friends in Dominican Republic! What a special adventure we went on - and a great way to start my 40s!

The holidays were amazing! We enjoyed being with the Barratt Crew in Sunset Beach, NC over Thanksgiving! The weather was wonderful and all of the cousins had a blast together! We enjoyed hosting our first Christmas in our new home! I think Christmas Eve we had 30 of our closest friends and family over. Super special!
Santa was good to the girls bringing them a trampoline for the back yard - plus add in some hammocks and a zip line - they NEVER come inside anymore!

We had one bad weekend of what was supposed to be snow but ended up being Ice and now it's 70 degrees! So not sure if winter is over or we are just being teased but we'll take it!

We wish everyone a very happy and healthy new year and know our door is ALWAYS open!
Come Visit!
