Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays Everyone! We all hope you had a wonderful holiday season and hope your 2010 filled with love and laughter! We had a magical Christmas with the girls....last year on Christmas night we were rushed via ambulance with Kate who had RSV and was hospitalized for six days. This year was much better. She was so excited about the decorations, our Elf on the Shelf Charlie, our Christmas Tree...and Santa too! She wasn't so happy about sitting on his lap (see the video below) but enjoyed looking at him from afar. Christmas morning brought us so many smiles and laughs as Emma and Kate ran down the stairs to see if Santa had been there...and he had - see the pics! They cheered and were so excited to see their favorite things brought to them, plus a beautiful new dollhouse and play kitchen! We were all wiped out after a day of none stop fun but it was worth it! We enjoyed celebrating Thanksmas earlier in the month with Gramma, Grampa Bee and the fam...and then later in the month with Gram and Papa...we then ventured to Tampa to see Uncle Mark and Aunt Kathryn and cousin Nicholas. All in all a GREAT year with family and friends and our favorite part....watching the girls grow! Kate will soon be 2! Where does the time go? We wish you health and happiness in 2010! Happy New Year to all!

Lots of love,

Amy, Mike, Emma, and Kate

Happy Thanksgiving

We hope everyone has had a Happy Thanksgiving! It's crazy that November has come and gone. We had a great month - full of friends, family, and lots going on! The girls are the best of friends and now sharing a room together! So far so good - a few nights of giggling after bedtime hours...but for the most part they feel so comfortable sharing a room and LOVE their new playroom! We enjoyed our trip to Pennsylvania to see Gramma and Grampa Bee and the whole gang for Thanksmas. We really enjoyed meeting our baby cousin Owen. He is such a dollie and we love snuggling up with him. Especially Kate - Kate loves her babies.... and loved holding sweet Owen! The girls are very excited for Christmas and so are we. It's going to be a Disney Christmas for sure - they are asking for every princess, every dress, and we are just enjoying the holiday season already! We will get our tree this coming weekend! Emma continues to enjoy school, her teachers, and her friends....AND is very excited for Ballet that starts in January. She loves dancing to the Rockettes (See video below). Kate also enjoys dancing and following around big sis Emma. She too is excited for Mom and Me Gymanstics that starts in January. Mike continues to stay busy with school, work, and being a great daddy!! I am looking forward to the holiday break - 2 full weeks!!! With my girls! only 12 more days to go! Enjoy your families this holiday season!

Happy October!

October went so fast! We had a busy but really fun month (check out the pictures below!). We enjoyed the pumpkin patch and trick or treating of coarse! Emma was Sleeping Beauty this year and Kate was a pink poodle! Kate didn't want to dress up, but as soon as she did and got out there with the BIG KIDS - she was on a roll! She didn't want us to hold her, help with her trick or treat bag or help her pick out her candy! Little Miss Independent! We also enjoyed our annual trip up to Helen, Georgia with the family! We enjoyed a night out for Oktoberfest AND a day/night in watching football! It was fun playing with baby Nicholas too! Emma and Kate both enjoyed playing peekaboo and making Nicholas laugh! (see the video below!) Emma also finished up her first season of Soccer! She enjoyed running around this season and playing! The best part for Emma was getting her TROPHEY! She's slept with her trophy every night since she's gotten it! Think we may try gymnastics or ballet next!

We are also 'testing' out the girls sleeping in the same room together. They have become REALLY close and love being with each other. We'll see how they do. Nap time has been a little rough because all the girls want to do is PLAY with each other, but hopefully they'll use their new room to sleep and their new PLAYROOM to PLAY~ stay tuned!
Enjoy your November and the cooloer weather!
Go Bucks! Go Irish!

Where did September go?

Where did September go? It's been a wonderful month - minus all of our crazy Atlanta rain that shut down my school for a day - never have I had a 'rain day'...but it was fun! The pictures below highlight some of our favorite weekends this month...the apple orchard was a FUN day! We picked apples, watched pig races, rode John Deer Tricycles, ate apples, corn on a stick, cotton candy, pet baby farm animals, rode on a wagon ride - it was great!

Emma is really enjoying soccer - we are 'enjoying' watching her twirl around, pick flowers, look at the airplanes in the sky, and every once and a while - crying because 'no one will share the ball with her'....Emma may need to individual sport.....she wants to do ballet! But enjoy the footage of her attempting soccer. It's still really fun to watch!

Kate is into everything and anything! As always. She wants so badly to be like her big sister and copies her every move! She's talking more and more and her favorite words to say: Go Buckeyes! She says it at the most random times which is so funny! She also loves to sing - Happy Birthday is one of her favorites!

School is keeping me busy as usual, and Mike is VERY busy balancing work, his MBA, and being world's best Daddy - he does all three very well!!!!

Lots of love to you all. Enjoy the pics and video below! Happy Fall!

GO BUCKS!!

Go Bucks everyone! I can't believe it's Fall and time for college football again! We love this time of year, and as you can see from the videos - so do the girls. GRAM is working on getting Emma a new OSU outfit - she has outgrown hers and passed it down to her lil' sis Kate! The girls are ready to go for another great Buckeye season and hopefully the Irish can win some too :)

We have had a great August! We've been busy as mom gets back to work, daddy is in full swing with work and his MBA, and the girls are adjusting well to their new classrooms at school! They love their teachers AND their classmates!

We have enjoyed watching our girls grow each day - and Kate is talking up a storm and wants to be JUST like her big sis! Emma has trained Kate all ALL of the princesses names and they both enjoy playing Disney Princess every day! We really hope to take them to Disney World sooner than later - what a treat that'll be! We enjoyed going to Dora Explorer Live this month with friends Laine and Charlie! We also have enjoyed the cooler weather and exploring the parks and taking more walks outside since it's not so hot! Emma has also started SOCCER practice! Daddy is already thinking "scholarship!" - Emma is just so excited to put on her pink shin guards, pink socks, and kick around her pink ball! Games start September 12th - I'm sure we'll have stories!

We hope you all are enjoying fall! Lots of Love and cheer on our Buckeyes!

As Emma says: O-H-I-O!!!

July has come and gone.....

Hi family and friends! We had a terrific July! It went by so fast and I can't believe I start work for another school year! We've had an amazing and fun filled July! We went to Gram and Papa's house for the Fourth of July - Emma saw fireworks three days in a row, and Kate witnessed her first fireworks show too and enjoyed it! Emma and Kate met their beautiful baby cousin Nicholas, and enjoyed poking and playing with him....not sure he's ready for these two girls!! We also enjoyed trips to the aquarium, the fountains, got our pictures taken by a wonderful photographer (http://www.sweetmagnoliaphotography.net/ - see below!), Stone Mountain, and had a fantastic weekend getaway to Lake Lanier! We enjoyed the lake, the beach, and the water slides. It was a wonderful way to end the summer ( see videos below). The girls are still enjoying the pool, playing in the backyard, and love visits to the parks! We are also excited to say ... Daddy is going back to school to get his MBA! Mike has started this two year journey and we are very proud of him! We'll miss him one weekend a month, but know this is what he needs to do and he's going to be great! It's hard to believe that our little miracle Emma.....turned three at the end of this month! It seems like just yesterday that she was born and here she is....our little princess just growing every day! She enjoyed her birthday with both sets of her grandparents and Uncle Jay Jay of coarse....and sissy Kate helped her eat LOTS of cake! She enjoyed playing with her friends in the Big Splash Fountains - and we all feel very lucky to have such wonderful friends and family that helped us celebrate! We love you all! We hope you are having a wonderful summer - and hope to see you all soon! You are always welcome in Atlanta! Xoxox

June 2009

Hi everyone! We hope you've had a great start of the summer! We've been busy as usual! The girls and I are really enjoying our summer time together! Emma is in swim lessons and is becoming a GREAT swimmer (see the videos below of her and her swim teacher Miss Tracy). Kate loves the water too but doesn't want anyone to hold her and wants to do what big sister Emma does...so that has been challenging! The girls both enjoy being outside (when its not 100 degrees out) - riding bikes, going to the park, the zoo, and even SIX FLAGS! They are little dare devils and LOVE rides and excitement! We have enjoyed story time and checking out books at the local library and playing in their 'zebra pool' in the back yard! It's hard to believe June has come and gone! Emma is counting down the days until her 3rd birthday and wants a 'princess' party...so we'll be working on that! Enjoy the videos and pictures of the girls! They are so much fun! Lots of love to you all,

Amy, Mike, Emma, and Kate

Summer is HERE!

Hi to our friends and family!

We are so excited that Summer is finally here and we've started it off with lots of fun!

Over Memorial Day weekend we traveled to PA to visit with the whole Barratt Family - We had a great time at Gramma and Grampa Bee's house and enjoyed celebrating Uncle Sean and Aunt Susie's Baby Boy on the way!!! We can't wait to meet our cousin over THanksmas next year :)

We also traveled to Hilton Head for a week with Gram and Papa and enjoyed our time together on the beach, in the pool, and out and about around Sea Pines! We have two real FISH on our hands....Emma and Kate both love the water...and just as always, Kate wants to do EVERYTHING Emma does....so we need to get her a water vest or something....she isn't afraid of anything! We plan on spending our summer at the library, at the pool, and Emma has swim lessons to look forward to also! The girls will also enjoy a few half days at their school where they will have bike day, water days, and other fun activities! We look forward to the summer weeks ahead! Happy May - and Happy Mother's Day to all of friends and family!!! We've had a great spring so far and are so happy the warm weather is finally here! We've planted flowers, gone to the zoo, and Mommy is counting down until Summer Vacation - 10 days to go! Daddy got a new job and started this week! He is doing Marketing now for ATT and is already enjoying it so much! He works very hard and we are so proud of him! Emma continues to enjoy singing, reading, and can't wait to get into the pool and take swim lessons with her girlfriend Laine! Kate is walking everywhere, talking more and more - saying words like Snack, More, and her very favorite- NO! More and more people tell us the girls are looking like 'twins' - we can't believe how fast the time goes! Mommy REALLY enjoyed her MOther's Day Tea at Emma's school - we wore fancy hats, drank tea, ate strawberry shortcake, and enjoyed a song sung by the kids! (The video is below).

We are excited for our trip to Pennsylvania for Memorial Day to see Gramma and Grampa Bee and all the uncles and Aunt Susie. Then, we can't wait to hit the beaches of Hilton Head with Gram and Papa for a week! We hope everyone is well!

All the Single Ladies...

We had a great spring break and enjoyed the Easter Bunny and Easter today! Kate is 'in charge' these days - and loves running after Emma and saying "ball, baby, Emma, nose" and she LOVES reading books! She also enjoys dancing and singing with Emma.

Spring is here!

It's hard to believe it's April! We've had a great month - and the girls are starting to really play and enjoy each other's company which is fun to watch! Emma has been busy at school with Circus Day, and at home dressing up before bedtime....falling asleep with gloves, necklace, bracelets, and crown...Kate is into everything, enjoys chasing Emma, and walking now all over the place! She still stumbles from here to there - but loves walking! Her new words: ball, baby, nana, and Emma of coarse :) Spring Break is around the corner for me, which I'm really excited for! Spending time with the girls, and taking them on a plane (just me and them... wish me luck!) to see all my girlfriends in Indy and their children! Should be fun! Mike is busy at work as usual, and working harder than ever! We traveled to Columbus to celebrate Cousin Beanie who will be arriving later this month....We had fun with Gram, Papa, and all the aunts and uncles too! Gramma and Grampa Bee visited us last week which was a blast, and Uncle Jason has officially relocated down south to work here in Atlanta! We are VERY excited to have him living so close!

check out our pics on http://www.barratt.shutterfly.com/ - and check back for videos as Mommy uploads them! Have a great Spring! Hope the weather stays warm for all of you soon!
